Since 1950 Sid's Carpet Barn has been Southern California's flooring leader
Founded by Sidney Rubin, Sid's Carpet Barn has been providing quality flooring for Southern California from its original location ("The Red Barn") at 132 West 8th street in National City, since 1950.
Since our humble beginning as a discount retail carpet store, we have grown into a full service flooring company with four convenient locations (including three retail locations totaling in excess of 70,000 square feet of warehousing and showroom space) in Southern California to serve our loyal customers.
Today after numerous years in the floor covering business we have grown to be among the top 50 largest specialty flooring companies in the United States.

In the early years
In the early years, Sid's was simply a carpet store. Now we boast vast inventories of hard surface flooring, including sheet vinyl, wood, laminate, tile, area rugs and more to allow our customers to shop in one location for virtually any and all flooring products needed to complete their dream living space.
To better service the business community, in 1983 we opened our Contract division to meet the needs of the property management, hospitality, new apartment construction and tenant improvement sectors of the flooring industry. This part of the business has since expanded to service the government (local, state and federal) and military sectors of the economy. In 1994, Curtis Allan FloorCovering was established in Riverside County to service the needs of these same companies located throughout all of Southern California. Today we have two separate warehouse locations, one in San Diego County and one in Riverside County to meet the needs of our customers.

In 2003 Sid's Carpet Barn, Inc. we expanded into our newest location in Corona, CA which houses both a retail store and our contract division, Curtis Allan FloorCovering, to better service our customers outside San Diego County.
